Ferulic acid is commonly found in commelinid plants like rice, wheat, oats, and pineapple and are also found in grasses, grains, vegetables, flowers, fruits, leaves, beans, seeds of coffee, artichoke, peanut and nuts. Ferulic acid has low toxicity and it exhibits anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial activity, anticancer, and Antidiabetic effects.
