Cinnamon oil obtained from the dried inner bark of the shoots of the coppiced trees of Cinnamomum zeylanicum and belonging to family Lauraceae. The cinnamon oil obtained from distillation method which is light yellow in colour and upon storage changes to reddish in colour. Cinnamon oil mainly contains cinnamaldehyde eugenol, benzaldehyde, cuminaldehyde and other terpenes.
Vanilla oil is obtained from the pod of orchids Vanilla Plantifolia and belonging to family Orchidaceae. The main active constituent is Vanillin which is extracted from Vanilla extract or chemically synthesized from guaiacol. Blended of Cinnamon and Vanilla produces the warm, calm feeling and a promising array of bioactivities that could be exploited for multiple therapeutic applications in aromatherapy.
