Tea tree oil is a colourless to pale yellow clear liquid. It has a fresh type odour. Because of the presence of terpineoal, it is used as a topical anti-bacterial agent. It is extracted from the leaves of Melaleuca alterifolia and is found growing in the swamps of Australia’s southeast coast. It is used as anti-septic for minor cuts and also possess wound healing properties. Tea tree oil liposules are water insoluble actives.
